Real terms based on how the app actually works, not placeholder text - a solid starting draft, not a substitute for a lawyer's review before real money changes hands through the app.
Catering Calc is a planning tool for professional caterers, personal chefs, and event planners. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and not to attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or this website's underlying calculation engine.
Catering Calc Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Depending on where you buy it, purchases are processed either through Apple's App Store or Google's Play Store (the mobile app) or through Stripe (this website) - either way, we never see or store your payment card details directly.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before renewal. Manage or cancel an App Store / Play Store subscription from your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, per their standard terms; manage or cancel a website subscription from your Account page, which links to Stripe's billing portal. Catering Calc itself has no separate ability to cancel a subscription on your behalf beyond those tools.
Refunds for App Store / Play Store purchases are handled by Apple or Google according to their own refund policies, not by us directly. For website (Stripe) purchases, contact support@cateringcalc.com and we can process a refund through Stripe where appropriate. Either way, reach out to support@cateringcalc.com if you believe you were charged in error.
This is the most important section for a food-quantity planning tool: every number Catering Calc produces - portion sizes, buffer percentages, staffing ratios, beverage and ice quantities, disposables counts - is a planning estimate based on general, widely-published catering industry rules of thumb. They are not a regulated standard, and actual consumption varies by guest demographics, menu, event length, and local norms.
You, the caterer, are solely responsible for your final ordering, staffing, and purchasing decisions. Your own professional experience should always take precedence over the app's suggested numbers. We are not liable for any shortfall, overage, spoilage, or other loss resulting from reliance on these estimates.
Catering Calc is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app or website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose beyond general planning guidance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jack-High Software LLC (doing business as Catering Calc) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or website, including but not limited to lost profits, wasted food costs, or event-planning losses.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use of the app or website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@cateringcalc.com.
